Far Above... The Campaign for Cornell

Campaign Style Guide

Far Above…The Campaign for Cornell is the title of the university's $4 billion comprehensive fundraising campaign, which launched publicly in October of 2006
and is expected to conclude at the end of 2011.

The title was taken from the first line of the Cornell "Alma Mater":

Far above Cayuga's waters,
With its waves of blue,
Stands our noble alma mater,
Glorious to view.

In the context of the campaign, this title evokes a sense of possibility, striving, excellence, and tradition. To be Far Above is both an aspiration and a statement of
hard-won identity for Cornell and Cornellians.

The following guidelines, logo files, and templates are intended to help all members of the Cornell community to employ the campaign title and associated graphical representations in an appropriate and uniform way across all printed and electronic publications. Doing so is imperative to preserving a consistent identity for the campaign and its attendant goals.

For questions about using the campaign identity and when it is appropriate in individual printed or electronic publications, please contact Diane Lebo Wallace, Assistant Director, Marketing & Communications, for assistance. Email dlw49@cornell.edu or phone 607.254.7113.
